[April 2026 update] This game went downhill REALLY quickly. No noteworthy content updates or new heroes added since Christmas. The hero AI hasn't been tweaked and they'll often refuse to attack monsters right in front of your barrier. The power difference between different hero rarities is insane, ESPECIALLY Legendary heroes, and there are no core gameplay upgrades beyond attack power and barrier HP. I'm Top 100 in the Spicy Rift after a few rounds, so the playerbase is obviously dwindling.

this game slams you into a wall at the fourth restaurant where you literally cannot progress until you prestige a full team of purple units, which requires five copies for each one. i pulled 100 times and did not get a single purple unit, to give context. i've been stuck at this for literally months. you get maybe two item pulls a day and need three to evolve an item, and there's one for every unit, and more. they want you to pay, of course. but you lose any ability to progress. can't recommend

Levels 1-5 are pretty easy and fun, but at level 6 you will face a drastic increase in difficulty, even after retrying and leveling up nothing changes. so the game is fun for like 30 mins or so until you reach level 6. This at least for me was the "wall" many games have to incentivize you to pay to progress. Also the game gives you a a few of these rare gacha bells or whatever of which you cant even use till way later (I presume since theres no way to use them as of level 5).
